Founded by Sherrell D. Mims
Sherrell D. Mims, RN, CDP, is a caregiving advocate, speaker, author, and founder of Global Caregivers Network. Known by many as the “Queen of Empowering Caregivers,” she has dedicated her life and work to encouraging, educating, and uplifting family caregivers around the world.
With decades of experience as both a personal and professional caregiver, Sherrell understands the emotional, physical, and spiritual demands caregiving can place on individuals and families. Her journey has given her a deep commitment to creating spaces where caregivers feel seen, supported, and empowered rather than isolated in their responsibilities.
Through Global Caregivers Network, Sherrell has built a growing platform that brings together caregivers, healthcare professionals, advocates, and speakers to share knowledge, lived experience, and encouragement. Her vision is rooted in the belief that caregivers deserve access to community, education, and practical support no matter where they live or what caregiving season they are navigating.
Sherrell believes that when we strengthen caregivers, we strengthen families, communities, and ultimately the world around us.
In addition to founding Global Caregivers Network, Sherrell is a speaker and published author whose books and collaborative anthologies reflect the strength, resilience, and faith that often emerge through the caregiving journey. Her memoir, I Will Wait Until Morning: A Caregiver’s Memoir on Assisting a Loved One with Cancer, shares a deeply personal account of love, endurance, and caregiving through crisis.
Sherrell is also a Registered Nurse and holds an Advanced Diploma of Biblical Studies as a Licensed Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ from the Destiny School of Ministry in Roseville, Michigan. Her work continues to be guided by compassion, service, and a calling to strengthen caregivers and families through connection, encouragement, and hope.
